Oven-Fried Bacon Recipe
I'm usually a turkey bacon type of girl. One minute zapped in the microwave while I scramble some eggs, and I'm ready to eat and start the day. But sometimes, you just have to have some real thick-cut bacon. Just the smell of it takes me back to my grandma’s house with bacon sizzling in the frying pan, scrambled eggs, and stone-ground yellow grits simmering on the stove. Nothing beats a good old-fashioned country breakfast! But who has time for all that anymore? This oven-fried bacon recipe is so easy. You don’t have to stand over the stove, and the cleanup is a cinch! And if you don’t like to sin (only Southerners will get this), you can pour the grease into a container after cooking and put it in your refrigerator to use later.
Ingredients
1 pack (12 or 16 oz) thick-cut bacon
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Lay individual strips of bacon on the parchment paper, leaving a little space between each piece.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 18 minutes.
Remove the bacon from the oven before it looks too crispy, as it will continue to cook a bit after being removed. Transfer bacon to a plate covered with two paper towel sheets to drain the extra grease.
Enjoy your delicious oven-fried bacon!
